Central Minnesota Women Shine and You Celebrating Community

At Central Minnesota Women Shine we celebrate the talents, solutions and creative gifts each of you offers to the world. We invite you to join us in feeling, expressing, believing and  taking actions to create the community we want to be. This is especially beneficial during the cold, winter months in Central Minnesota with its shorter days and blanket of snow quieting the riot of colors we are blessed with during the other seasons. Winter festivals, holidays and projects color our world and keep our creative  energies flowing. Our communities are bustling with celebrations, service projects and events to expand wealth and wellness for self, family and community.

Saturday, Dec. 10th a festival, a service project and an initiative celebrate area talents, treasures and solutions:

Central Minnesota Women Shine and You: Finding Gratitude and Joy

Thursday is the official day for Central Minnesota Women Shine Netweavers. The purpose is to take time from our busy lives to share stories, events, accomplishments and celebrate that which nurtures our vitality. This Thursday is Thanksgiving a national holiday which has many different meanings for the women living in Central Minnesota today. For the CMWS netweavers, it is a day to be with family so we will not be at the Ace. We would however be delighted to hear your stories of gratitude and dreams come true.

Remembering, Living in & Creating Moments of Gratitude
Thanksgiving Song - Mary Chapin Carpenter

What special holiday tradition infuses your inner vitality with gratitude. What special tradition do you most like to replay. What new traditions are you creating for your family and community. You can leave a comment here, on facebook or on twitter. You can share your story at our next netweaving or call me Mary Margaret 320-266-5614 if you would share your favorite holiday traditions with roots from other cultures and parts of the world at the December AAUW meeting.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That's why they call it the present. ~Alice Morse Earle. This is an inviting, validating and inspiring call to action. This is what Central Minnesota Women Shine is all about, expanding out of our past with all of our talents to build on our present gifts  and create the tomorrow of our dreams. So just for the moment, let's celebrate all that for which we are grateful. Remember the holiday traditions our Mothers, Mothers passed on to us and share the feelings, words, sights and foods that we grew up with, that we are creating today and that we dream of for tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Mary Margaret and Dara

Central MN Women Shine Weaving the Fabric of Community

Central Minnesota Women Shine Netweavers offer a 4 step, 4 facet process to enhance the inner vitality of self and other, co-create solutions that complement the systems in place, provide a conduit to contribute to peaceful prosperity and sustainable financial/material well being. I'm packing up my bags just now to join the CMWS netweavers to tweak the bylaws that will guide us in developing a nonprofit organization that will profit everyone.

We are filled with gratitude for the community members who have already contributed to CMWS Harvest Festival. Sheets fit for a goddess, hand crafted windows, home grown produce and more have been contributed for the CMWS country store, silent auction and fairy tale playset raffle to channel the funds needed for the 501c3 registration.

Dara Westra, of Performance Design Training Center has found the time to create the flyer for this joyful celebration and post it on Central MN Women Shine website.

I'm off to the Ace. Hope to connect with you there.

Enter the Workplace of the Child and Imagine What You Can Create with Central Minnesotan Women Shine

You have a vision, fleeting at first like a landscape viewed through the window of a fast moving train. With each passing, the view is etched more clearly in your mind. With action, the seed of your project is fertilized, with breath, voice and intention it is nurtured through the stages of development with the help of talented and innovative co-creators.

It takes a community to build a project just as it takes a village to raise a child, an audience to appreciate a work of art, readers to breathe life into a work of fiction. But life happens and unforseen events and challenges occur that get in the way of the best laid plans. You can let it stop you or take a deep breath and imagine a new way to realize your goals.

The primary care providers of Central Minnesota Women Shine have had several such events in their families from injury to illness, major storm damage, moving, housing family members during transition, the loss of home and IT equipment of a founding Mother and well~life goes on. Christiane Lavanoux of I Game Attitude says, "Free your imagination and find the gift behind each situation." We agree and have seen new possibilities, resources and growth with dawning day.

Central MN Women Shine now has a 5 member organizing team including co-founders and 3 board members. We begin working with expert nonprofit consultant, Myrna Johnson this Friday to develop bylaws, a full board of directors and a first year plan to build a self sustaining resource and solution center for women entrepreneurs, initiatives and ventures. We are each part of the solution as stakeholders in building a thriving 21st century community and global market place. CMWS will specifically address the expanding roles of area women in this process. The Initiative Foundation offered great validation of our beliefs by providing the funding for Marlys to guide us through this organizational process.

We invite all stakeholders to invest in CMWS Wealth and Wellness Initiative. We are all learners in an evolving community and world. Choose one way to connect, validate, invest in area women investing in life long learning, wellness and wealth.

Do you like this post? Share it with friends. Watch for updates and photos these next days on our FB page. Come to our event and take time out from the world you know, to the workplace of the child. Explore, buy and give new life to toys and other goods for home, school, office and play spaces. Ask yourself, "Are you using your imagination daily? Albert Einstein said the imagination is more important than knowledge! Your imagination lays the foundations of your future. You achieve what you believe you can. What do you believe in? What do you feel like believing in? That’s the question. This has nothing to do with magic. What you feel will guide you. You’ll make choices that will lead you to certain people or situations. In turn you’ll act and a chain of events will consciously or unconsciously develop." (Excerpted from IGA Blog). Central Minnesota Women Shine invites your inner child to browse and make purchases with a higher purpose for the child/children in your life while feeding the CMWS Women's Health and Wealth Initiative Fund.

Central Minnesota Women Shine with I Game Attitude, Performance Design Training Center and You

The world is morphing all around us. Boundaries are blurring and barriers are crumbling. Each of us has a role in the outcome. Central Minnesota Women Shine is listening and net weaving the talents and solutions of area women ventures, initiatives and projects. We are celebrating all of our facets. We are expanding traditional roles and solutions beyond the bake sale and charity ball to realize our goals for self, family and community.

We believe that every individual just as every community has everything within them to realize their goals. We realize however that development is uneven and we tend to focus on and develop more highly one or two skills or at least compartmentalize them by task. Families as well as communities follow this same pattern which is normal if not natural until we reach a tipping point where circumstances require us to expand. Women leaders in Central Minnesota from all fields, backgrounds, belief systems and walks of life are echoing a national and global movement to look beyond our present perceptions of self and Other in an increasingly diverse community, global market place and technology driven world.

Mary Margaret White-Levilain of I Game Attitude and Dara Westra of  Performance Design Training Center welcome you to join them and new board members, Mary Smith and Cyndi Prather at Central Minnesota Women Shine, the newly registered non-profit corporation that will profit every one.

Leaders in business, education, government understand well that the internet, google and social media platforms are changing the way we think, learn, communicate and do business. Hop on the moving train with Central Minnesota Women shine each Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm  for a Happy Hour Virtual Net Weaving at various St. Cloud area venues. If you can't join us live, come to CMWS facebook page. It is a joyful and empowering game of tag to celebrate area women ventures, projects and initiatives. Shine a light on your gems and ours as stakeholders in the shaping of a 21st Century community creating sustainable wealth and wellness.

Virtual Happy Hour: Net Weaving Community with Central Minnesota Women Shine

Social Media platforms are just one way to meet, greet and stay in touch with individuals and groups whose values, visions, resources and goals are in line with your own. Happy hour is a time to celebrate your accomplishments of the day, share joyful and uplifting stories treasures and visions, remind friends and clients of upcoming events.

Perhaps you have not been able to connect with the people who will support you and cheer you on as you build your business or project. Maybe you haven't found the time or place to connect with the people you imagine being in your circle of friends, collaborators, fellow human beings. Time management, lack of a clear plan and uncertainty of how to connect in meaningful ways are challenges that many site as holding them back from accessing and maximizing the power of this growing medium for communication, relationship building and staying connected.

CMWS Presents an Exciting Platform to Expand Your Solving Power

Adriana Gardella: expert in computer technology, entrepreneur, professor and philanthropist writes, "Why Women Have an Advantage in Technology". The article shines a light on some of the present facts and perceptions as well as the possibilities and promise for women, society and our planet. All of the comments are wonderful and valid as well. The University of MN Humphrey Institute/s Center on Women & Public Policy in partnership with the Women's Foundation of Minnesota reveals that while there remains a gap in workforce and pay equity for women in high paying professions that could evoke unpleasant emotions, a deeper look reveals that hi tech fields are chipping away at the gap faster than other areas.

Adriana's why and how to expand opportunities towards equity is right on and echos the recommendations of Women & Public Policy. We all need to expand our personal perceptions in order to create sustainable wealth and wellness. This requires us to nurture the skills of the masculine and feminine in all of our children and more importantly in ourselves. At Central Minnesota Women Shine we are expanding our power to welcome, validate, envision and create what we need to realize our goals for self, family and community through our netweaving events and projects.

Central Minnesota Women Shine is mirroring the attitudes and processes of a new paradigm for living and doing business in the 21st Century. An I Game Attitude presentation and conference will be filmed in Sydney Australia, the very same day as CMWS' next netweaving event. Whether your field of expertise and passion is technology, marketing, education, invention, human services, wellness or law You will find this experience offers a pragmatic and exciting platform to expand your solving power and ours. We welcome your voice~your vision~your solutions.

At a recent AAUW meeting, St. Cloud area branch, we discussed the findings of the Women and Public Policy report and noted a trend that Adriana pinpointed as well. Men in technology and engineering fields recognize the traditionally female/feminine attributes of being more collaborative and intuitive. This leads to better products. It is by bringing together the powerful masculine skills of leadership and production with the feminine skills of collaboration and openness that we will create the peaceful prosperity that is just beyond these perceptions of inequity and scarcity.

Hop on this moving train with us, cut through the landscape that is hiding the view.  Join us at Central Minnesota Women Shine netweaving this Wednesday and expand your solving power for living and doing business in the 21st Century.

I Game Attitude: Solar or Lunar? Positive or Negative

Most limitations are self-imposed. Our challenge is to overcome them and be the whole human being we are meant to be. The world situation reflects this limited state of being. Our limiting  beliefs originate in our Lunar  Father Polarity. Yes, our 4 polarities may manifest themselves in their Solar or Lunar light. There is nothing wrong with our Lunar light, it’s a stage of development. Let’s understand that negative and positive are two ends of the same process. Think of  the different stages of germination, growing is done from the rich darkness and moisture of the soil to the warm and open sunlight, both nurtures the seed. The mourning process follows the same path. And so does creativity.
To reach our full potential we have to understand and welcome Lunar, “negative” and Solar, “positive” states not as opposites: not as good and bad, but as a process, weaving the fabric of our growth. Exploring our Lunar light  invites us to an awareness of our internal paradoxes, making us grow stronger each time by understanding our self better and letting go of any feeling of guilt or rejection.  Boosting our Solar light reinforces our balance and harmony as a result.
It’s up to us to learn about our 4 polarities and how they manifest themselves in their Solar or Lunar ambiance. It’s up to us to set up an internal ecology monitor to check the validity of our actions because if there’s nothing wrong with Lunar, staying in Lunar ambiance indefinitely can be disastrous.
Step 1:  Become aware of the Lunar, “negative”  thoughts and beliefs that keep you from growing, from getting what you want and need. Step 2: Bring your beliefs in line with your feelings: Welcome the pain of the loss or rejection you have experienced. Step 3: Validate your ability to create something new. Step 4: Take a Solar, “positive” action with your glowing self esteem to create the vibrant, rich life you are meant to realize.
At Central Minnesota Women Shine, we uncover our talents, shining a light on self and others with The I Game and I Game Attitude as we:

We welcome all stakeholders in Central Minnesota empowering women to shine in all of our facets to join our FB page Central MN Women Shine. Follow us on twitter. Join us for our next netweaving event:

Talahi Second Graders at The White House Children's Garden Project

Talahi Second Grade Volunteers and Teachers Ready, Set, Plant
Thursday, May 25th was a perfect day for planting and that's what 8 second grade volunteers did with the help of their science and math teachers, parents and several volunteers from Stearns History Museum. The second grade class at Talahi Community School along with their teaching team planted the first seeds for The White House Children's Garden Project at their school last month. The whole class participated in the seed planting and care of these sturdy young tomatoes, turnips, beans along with other vegetables and herbs that will be cared for this summer by children.

Volunteer Planters from Talahi Second Grade Class
The Talahi students participation in this project is now done. The grounds keeping staff and community volunteers from AAUW, RSVP and CMWS will take care of the young seedlings until June 9th when area children ages 7 to 11 will pick up their garden trowels, hoes and claws to plant more seeds and care for the garden throughout the summer as part of the learning and fun filled White House Children's Garden Project.

The 10 week program meets on Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. To learn more and/or register your child, contact Stearns History Museum.

We are grateful to the wonderful 2nd grade team of teachers, students and support staff, The Stearns History Museum and the volunteers for shining a light on our gems as a community. We hope that if you are in the St. Cloud area this summer, you will stop by Stearns History Museum to see the project in action and view The Working White House exhibit from which the garden project sprang.

CMWS is expanding how can you participate?

Central Minnesota Women Shine is expanding through a netweaving of area women leaders from all fields, belief systems, cultures and walks of life. Our mission is to unleash the power of women entrepreneurs, initiatives and non-profits in Central Minnesota to achieve our shared goals for self, family and community. Our goal is to create both a local and virtual platform and space to provide training, marketing strategies and connections to products and services created by area women.

We are here to complement the systems already in place, i.e. we will work with area women to develop products and services based on our unique talents and resources that are not yet easily accessible and provide affordable marketing both locally and globally.

The CMWS cooperative provides affordable training and consulting services based on our netweaving model for living and doing business in the 21st Century. In the future, we will add a host of other services to include wellness, finance etc and will benefit Central Minnesota families. We will be looking for group insurance policies and investment opportunities for members and their families. Members would be individuals, businesses, initiatives or non-profits that support the goals of area ventures for women, children and community.

Mary Margaret White-Levilain of I Game Attitude LLC and Dara Westra of Performance Design Training Center LLC are the first investors in this project that is an organization, a netweaving network, and cooperative. We have created a basic framework based on input from various local women, and our own expertise and philosophies as a life coach and a software/softskills trainer.

Join us in this joyful and empowering journey to create the thriving community we all want to be and share this opportunity with your networks.

  • Join us on Facebook, blogs, websites and other netweaving platforms  in the virtual world.
  • Join us for a weekly social hour to share ideas, stories and just connect as human beings.
  • Join us monthly for netweaving events to uncover the unique talents and resources we have to offer the world while boosting our own wealth and wellness.
  • become a member and share information about products and services developed in the Central Minnesota Area and discover more about the wants and needs of our community.
All events will be posted on our Facebook Page as well as the St. Cloud Times.
Thank you for your willingness to bring your energies and creativities to the table to help the women of Central Minnesota Shine.

Community Building with Central Minnesota Women Shine

Women leaders in Central Minnesota from all fields, backgrounds, belief systems and walks of life assert something new is needed to empower women to realize goals for self, family and community. These courageous women have stepped outside personal and collective comfort zones, looked beyond present perceptions and limits to explore possibilities. On May 11th, 13 of these women came together to share their visions, passions, resources and challenges as stakeholders in creating what we need to thrive: to feel our efforts are making a difference, that our voices are heard, that our care taker natures are balanced with self care and mostly we need to graciously accept a cash flow that validates the gifts and value we bring to our community.

If we are to realize these goals and maintain a balance of wealth in the emotional, social, mental and physical domains, we are going to have to create it.

Performance Design Training Center and I Game Attitude are joining forces through a netweaving of the talents and openness of area women with the ever growing needs of area organizations, government, educational institutions and businesses to create and sustain wealth and wellness in our community.
How does this work? We provide a safe and welcoming space, expertise, technology and support to connect the talents of area women with whatever you need in the area of local and global communications, product design, manufacturing and wellness. We help you to access the talents that are already here to create what you need while providing a sustainable income for women who are creative and open but may not have found their voice or lack resources needed to start out on their own.

What exactly do we do? This will evolve over time as our community needs change. Our main service, (what we see is most needed for the moment) is growing and managing virtual communications including social media platforms in a safe, respectful and profitable manner. We will also be conducting a survey of talents and needs to see what unique product or services area women could design and manufacture. We are essentially creating a bridge between the feminine skills of care taking and relationship building with the masculine skills of leadership and wealth building within and between individuals and groups.

Our next step is to explore the best business structure and cash flow for this new model that is a business, organization, concept and training center with a focus on the whole person, family and community. Over the next month we will be developing our business plan, and start our search for initial investors and participants.

We have had an overwhelming response from individuals ready to be a part of this. Leave your comments and questions here. If you are ready to invest in Central Minnesota Women Shine, take your own life to a new level, call us today at 266-5614 and ask for Mary Margaret to learn about I Game Attitude Leadership training to be a part of Central Minnesota Women Shine.
